Alberici Constructors - Headquarters Cafe Renovation

NARRATIVE
Guided by Alberici’s core mission of improving lives and strengthening communities, their renovated cafe space was crafted and designed foster collaboration, creativity, and comfort for their dedicated team members. Through a simplistic color palette, emphasizing brand colors, a variety of seating types were incorporated to create comfortable and intimate spaces for employees. The transformation included redesigning the dated food serving line to incorporate new food choices. New custom condiment, drink, and grab-and-go food stations were strategically placed to divide the seating area from service and main traffic patterns. The custom millwork was designed and built around existing structural elements, which could not be disturbed. A layered, mixed-use lighting design further lends the space to promote comradery and social well-being amongst employees. A custom table made by Alberici's steel division and local wood artisan, served as a feature seating group in the space. The curated design included graphics, branding, acoustical design, programming new food services, ensuring existing seating capacity was maintained, selecting flatware, drink machines, and concealing condiment and trash storage. Custom planters were added to the space to ensure additional privacy. Plant selections were selected in keeping with Alberici's core value of restorative prairie design.
The renovation also includes plans for revamping the adjacent outdoor space to create additional year-round seating options for employees. The outdoor space includes a heated and cooled pergola, additional seating, putting green, and maintains views to the company's restorative natural prairie and pond. It is currently under construction.
